All free nations have their national flag. It is the emblem of the free country’s freedom and sovereignty. Bangladesh is also a sovereign country. Therefore, it has its national flag. The people of Bangladesh are proud of their flag since Bangladesh is a free, sovereign country. It reminds us of the brave struggle our freedom fighters faced while fighting to free the country.
Its shape is rectangular with the ratio of 10:6. Depending on its use, it comes in various sizes. The flag is made of two colors. The green is the emblem of the youth and the red is the symbol of the sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters who were martyred. We commend the national flag and recall our freedom fighters’ ultimate sacrifice. The flag is hung regularly on top of our major government buildings and educational establishments.
On two occasions it is hoisted everywhere. These two days are Independence Day and Victory Day. During National Mourning Days, the national flag is held half-masted. I am very proud of my national flag as it reminds me that I am a free citizen wherever and wherever I see the national flag. By performing our duties properly, we can uphold the reputation of our National Flag.

The symbol of a free country is usually a national flag. Being a free country, we have our national flag as well. It symbolizes our dignity, unity, and sovereignty in the region. In 1971, a bloody battle against Pakistan gave us our national flag. Our national flag is 10:6 in length and breadth. It is rectangular. It is made of silk, linen, or cotton. It is made up of two distinct colors which are green and red.
The deep green color covers a big part of it. In the middle of it, there is also a deep red round color section. It tends to look like the rising sun. Our national flag’s green color stands for eternal youth, freshness, and the whole nation’s vigor. It also symbolizes our beloved land’s ever-greenery. Our national flag’s red round portion symbolizes the rising sun of independence.
The source of our spirit, our hope, and our aspirations for our youth are our national flag. At our government offices and educational institutions, it is hoisted every day. On our national days of remembrance, it is held half-masted. Besides, on Independence Day and Victory Day, it is hoisted everywhere. Our national flag makes us feel proud. We can uphold the reputation of our national flag by being ideal citizens of our country.
